MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Thai police have arrested a third person in connection with the deadly terrorist attack in country's capital of Bangkok, local media reported Thursday.
On August 17, an explosion went off in the Erawan Shrine in central Bangkok, killing 20 people, including foreign tourists, and injuring over 100 more.
Police reported that Kamarudeng had had contact by telephone with one of the eight wanted suspects, Wanna Suansan, the only Thai suspect in the case at the time.
The first person detained in connection with the Bangkok bombings is said to be the holder of a Chinese passport, while the second is reported to be a Turkish citizen, although Ankara maintains that the documents in his possession are fakes.
