MOSCOW, February 4 (RIA Novosti) - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Israel of waging “state terrorism” in comments on the recent Israeli airstrike on Syria, Al Jazeera reported on Monday.

“As I say time and again, Israel has a mentality of waging state terrorism. Right now, there is no telling what it might do and where it might do it,” Al Jazeera quoted Erdogan as saying.

Israel’s outgoing Defense Minister Ehud Barak confirmed on Sunday the airstrike on Syria by telling a meeting of the world’s top diplomats in Munich the incident was proof that when "we say something, we mean it."

“Those who have been treating Israel like a spoilt child should expect anything from them, at any time,” Erdogan added.

The Israeli air strike hit the Jamraya military research center northwest of the capital Damascus on Wednesday. Syrian state TV said two people were killed and five injured in the air strike. The building was seriously damaged.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry sent a letter to the UN Security Council earlier this week asking the organization to condemn the attack.
