Anzhi Makhachkala midfielder Odil Ahmedov is back in training after spending almost three months out with an ankle injury, the club said Tuesday.
Ahmedov is normally a regular for big-spending Anzhi but has not played since July 29 and had an operation on his ankle in Munich in late August.
Ahmedov trained with Guus Hiddink's squad for the first time since the injury Tuesday .
The Uzbekistan international, with 44 caps to his name, has previously spoken of his desire to play for Arsenal.
Anzhi lead the Russian Premier League by two points from CSKA Moscow after 12 games.
