Anzhi coach Guus Hiddink will miss his side's Russian Premier League home match against Spartak Moscow on Saturday after hurting his knee in training at the club's base near Moscow.
Hiddink, 65, did not fly with the team to Dagestan for the match and remained in a Moscow clinic under observation.
His assistant coach Zeljko Petrovic of Montenegro will step in for Saturday's game.
Anzhi top the Russian Premier League table by two points from CSKA Moscow.
