Traktor Chelyabinsk recorded its fourth consecutive win with a 5-2 trouncing of Western Conference leader Lev Prague on home ice Saturday.

Traktor had to battle back to level the score twice during the first period, but then pulled clear when captain Vladimir Antipov scored on a Lev powerplay soon after missing a penalty shot.

Third-period goals from Jan Bulis and Maxim Yakutsenya added to Traktor’s lead.

Lev continues to hold the lead in the West and Traktor, regular season champion in 2011-12, is now third in the East.

Elsewhere, Dynamo Moscow outplayed Salavat Yulaev Ufa on penalty shots after overtime ended in a 3-3 draw, with Marek Kvalip scoring the deciding penalty shot.

Defending champion Dynamo is sixth in the Western Conference, while 2011 champion Salavat Yulaev is eight in the East and on a three-game losing streak.

Avangard Omsk beat Amur Khabarovsk on the home ice 4-1. Both teams are currently outside the playoff zone in the Eastern Conference.

Sibir Novosibirsk recorded an on-the-road 3-2 win over Yugra Khanty-Mansiisk, with Jori Lehtera scoring the winning penalty shot after goalless third period and overtime.

Yugra is the bottom team in the East with six consecutive defeats, while Sibir is second with the same number of points as leader Ak Bars Kazan.

Metallurg Novokuznetsk thrashed Barys Astana on the road 5-1, despite the hosts outshooting their opponents 49-42. Metallurg Novokuznetsk is sixth in the East, with Barys one place lower.

CSKA Moscow beat Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg 3-0 as CSKA goaltender Rastislav Stana posted his second shutout in a row.

Detroit Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk recorded two assists as ex-Nashville Predators center Alexander Radulov scored the third goal and assisted twice.

Avtomobilist is second from bottom in the East with four consecutive losses, while CSKA is third in the West.

Metallurg Magnitogorsk snapped new team Slovan Bratislava’s five-game winning streak to win 3-2. Metallurg Magnitogorsk is now fifth in the Eastern Conference, while Slovan is fifth in the West.

NHL lockout signings Evgeni Malkin and Sergei Gonchar failed to register any points for Metallurg Magnitogorsk, while former Buffalo Sabres wing Miroslav Satan assisted a Slovan goal.
