Best Buoy: Pamela Anderson Auctions Off Baywatch Prop, Dance With Her

Pamela Anderson auctioned off a buoy to help preserve endangered species during the Eastern Economic Forum in Russia's Vladivostok.

Actress and animal preservation activist Pamela Anderson sold a buoy from 1990s television series Baywatch for 3 million rubles (around $45,000) at a charity auction in Vladivostok on Thursday, RIA Novosti reported.

Businessman Ildar Neverov, a member of entrepreneur organization Business Russia purchased the buoy which was featured in the television series Baywatch, known in Russia as "Malibu Rescue Workers." Pamela Anderson also reportedly auctioned off the chance to dance with her to a secret bidder.

Anderson also said that she wants to protect seals and end fur seal hunting together with Russia.

"I want to make a statement at the conference tomorrow <…> I want to do something significant, something that can really change everything, together with Russia. Starting with seals. I know that products made from fur seals come to Russia," Pamela Anderson said.

The auction is being conducted as part of the Eastern Economic Forum, and its proceeds will go to fund conservation efforts for endangered species in Russia's Far East.
