The deal will include 110 T-700-GE-701D engines.

The defense agency said the proposed sale will improve the security of NATO and help counter- terrorism operations.

US defense companies Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and General Electric are the main contractors.

The Apache Attack Helicopter deal comes just months after British Prime Minister David Cameron vowed to increase the United Kingdom’s defense spending.
