Broader Relations With Germany May Bring Iran Closer With Europe - Rouhani
“I have had several meetings with the Chinese president, including the one we had during the Shanghai conference, where we held comprehensive discussions. We also met in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and during a recent trip to Russia," Rouhani told the Xinhua reporter at a news conference in Tehran.

"There is a wealth of plans ahead in Iran in which the Chinese can participate and have a share," he said.

Referring to the recent nuclear deal between Iran and the world powers, Rouhani said that, in keeping its provision, Iran's heavy water Arak reactor should be improved and modernized with help from China and one of the P5+1 signatories, probably the United States.

China is one of the most important countries in the world and Iran is all set to develop its ties with Beijing as well as with other regional states, he added.

In his recent trip to China, Iranian Vice President Ali-Akbar Salehi said that Iran looks forward to expanding practical cooperation with China in various fields, including the planned construction of a number of 100-megawatt power plants in Iran.
