By Sunday evening, the typhoon reached the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, where, according to media reports, more than 870,000 people were in the disaster area and over 50,000 people have been evacuated.
The disaster has caused damage to agricultural land and has led to the destruction of agricultural buildings.
