MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The blast took place at about 23:25 p.m. local time (15:25 GMT), according to the People's Daily newspaper.
No injuries or casualties have been reported yet.
This is not the first explosion in the Shandong province in recent days. At least nine people were injured in an explosion in a chemical factory in Shandgong on August 22.
Earlier in August, a blast occurred at industrial warehouses in northeastern China’s port city of Tianjin, claiming lives of some 150 people, according to the official data. About 30 people are believed to be missing.
