Ukraine’s Military Casualties in Donetsk and Lugansk Regions Reach Up to 500 - Defense Ministry

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Ukrainian armed forces have suffered up to 470 military casualties near several settlements in the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics in the past 24 hours, the Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) said on Thursday.

According to the ministry, Russia’s Battlegroup Yug repelled a Ukrainian counterattack.

"Enemy losses [over the past day] amounted to 500 military personnel, two military vehicles [among other military equipment]" the ministry said in a statement.

The Russian Battlegroup Tsentr repelled seven Ukrainian counterattacks in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), while the enemy lost up to 350 soldiers in clashes, the MoD added.
