MOSCOW, November 12 (RIA Novosti) – The weather in Moscow this November has been the hottest in recorded history, with average temperatures for the month’s first 10 days a full seven degrees Celsius higher than normal, meteorologists said Tuesday.

On November 6, temperatures reached the month’s all-time high: 14.8 C (60 F), according to local weather site Meteonovosti.

The next-warmest November was in 1996, when the first 10 days were nearly 5 C above average.

Moscow weather has been abnormally warm since mid-October, and a City Hall official said last week that the capital was saving about $1 million per day on heating costs.
