MOSCOW, October 31 (RIA Novosti) - A visa-free travel regime for citizens of Russia and Ukraine to enter Croatia, famous for its resorts, expires on Saturday.
Croatia has unilaterally introduced the visa-free travel regime for Russians and Ukrainians on April 9 this year until October 31 to boost the inflow of tourists into the country against the backdrop of the global financial crisis.
However, despite the visa-free regulation there was registered a decrease in the number of tourists visiting Croatia this year against the figures from the previous year.
In the Balkans, Russians also enjoy visa-free travel regimes with Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia.
