"An official delegation from UEFA, led by secretary general David Taylor, started a four-day visit to Ukraine on Monday, February 2," the press service of Deputy Prime Minister Ivan Vasyunik announced on Monday.
The officials are to visit the five cities - Kiev, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa and Lvov - due to host games in the European Championship finals to assess their progress in reconstructing stadiums, railroad stations, and airports.
They will be accompanied by Vasyunik and the president of the Ukrainian Football Federation, Hryhory Surkis.
The delegation will travel on to co-hosts Poland on Thursday.
There have long been concerns over Ukraine's readiness to host the tournament, and UEFA President Michel Platini warned in December that all the games could be switched to Poland if Kiev does not complete construction work on the capital's Olympic Stadium.
