MOSCOW, October 15 (RIA Novosti) - Ninety-two militants were killed and 13 detained in the North Caucasus city of Nalchik, the Russian deputy interior minister said Wednesday.

"The gang was divided into six groups of 10-15 men who attacked administrative buildings," Andrei Novikov said.

He added that more than a half of the attackers had already been identified.

The law enforcement bodies have located the base where the militants came from and learned where they got weapons, Novikov said.

Charges have been brought against the 13 arrested militants, he said adding that the police had detained 20 more people suspected of the involvement in the attack and seized a great deal of weapons and ammunition during the investigation.

There were no law enforcers and suicide bombers among the attackers, Novikov said.

He also said more than 100 people, including 85 law enforcers had been wounded in the attack on Nalchik.

The city is gradually returning to normal, the deputy minister added.
