MOSCOW, October 12 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's largest state-run oil company, Rosneft, increased oil output by 3.4 times in January-September 2005 year on year to 54.8 million metric tons, the company said Wednesday.
Rosneft also produced 9.45 billion cubic meters of natural gas, up 38% on 2004.
As of October 1, 2005, Rosneft operated 17,625 oil wells or twice as many as last year. In the reporting period, the company commissioned 317 new oil and gas condensate wells compared with the target of 302 wells, the company said.
